Technical Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Specialist to provide strategic support and guidance to the Case Management team on complex workers compensation matters.

Key responsibilities include triage of claims, allocation of workflows, reviews and auditing of claims, and identification of emerging trends.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with management of complex and sensitive workers compensation claims.
  • Foster engagement with internal and external stakeholders, providing proactive advice and communications in claims management.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues relating to workers insurance.
  • Organize and manage file reviews according to estimation and claims guidelines.
  • Monitor and provide advice on responses to complex and sensitive claims.
  • Coordinate measures to deliver high-level customer service.
  • Provide technical input into review and updating of claims guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business practices.
  • Support development of case managers through coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Regularly contribute to triage of new and re-open claims.
  • Lead and contribute to projects and process development.
