Forensic Data Analyst

We're seeking a highly skilled Forensic Data Analyst to join our team. As a leader in forensic data analytics, our department helps organisations protect and restore their enterprise and financial reputation.

The Opportunity

Eyewitnessing the full life cycle of data analysis from early stages of data discovery and capture to its management, analysis and reporting is essential for our engagements. Our work involves working with large datasets from disparate sources to support investigations, disputes, and proactive risk detection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create insights to support fraud investigations, disputes, and regulatory compliance challenges for clients across various industries using advanced data analytic tools.
  • Develop forensic procedures and define measurable data metrics and design investigative analysis with the broader Forensics team and stakeholders.
  • Extract, validate, transform and load high-volume structured and unstructured data from multiple data sources (including ERP and accounting systems) for deeper analysis.
  • Develop algorithms, data mining, and data analytic solutions to assist clients with detection of fraud, bribery and corruption; irregular financial transactions; anomalous employee behaviour; and total error and waste in their operations.
  • Support senior team members in the preparation and presentation of client deliverables, including using visualisation software to clearly present the benefits of the analysis to clients.

A professional with strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in data manipulation languages such as SQL, and analytical and modelling tools like Alteryx, Python, R or similar packages will be ideal for this role. Familiarity with data visualisation software and understanding of cloud computing platforms and enterprise software solutions are also highly valued.
