Internal – Financial Investigator, Forensic Accounting Service

  • Location – All locations will be considered
  • Salary – $123,444 to $144,386 (depending on experience) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Internal expressions of interest are invited to fill a Financial Investigator role within the Forensic Accounting Services (Enforcement and Compliance). The role offered is temporary, for 12 months.

The Team
Forensic Accounting provides specialised accounting services to regulatory teams conducting investigations or compliance activities including financial reconstructions, accounting advice and analysis, preparation of financial information including witness statements and affidavits for litigation activity and accounting data interrogation

As a Financial Investigator You Will Be Required To

  • undertake financial investigations and analysis using accounting software and query tools to extract data, prepare reports, prepare reconstructions and flow charts of financial transactions
  • provide advice and investigation support to stakeholder teams on financial aspects of commercial transactions, the flow of funds, and methodologies used to reconstruct information participate in investigation and litigation processes including preparing and reviewing witness statements and affidavits, providing evidence in court and managing evidence and data in accordance with evidence management practices
  • contribute to the preparation of briefs of evidence.
  • contribute to the development of internal procedures and implementation standard practices to ensure operational effectiveness and
  • appropriate quality controls, and analyse financial information to identify data trends or anomalies
