Paralegal Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Paralegal Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in the legal industry and develop their skills in file management, reporting, and investigation.

The ideal candidate will have prior work experience in fast-paced environments, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a practical down-to-earth approach. They should also be adaptable, resilient, and committed to helping the team achieve its overall goals.

Our team works on behalf of insurer clients on claims for personal injury compensation resulting from motor vehicle accidents. You will play a key role in file management, reporting, investigating, gathering, and preparing information for advocacy in the Personal Injury Commission and courts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage files and documents related to personal injury claims
  • Conduct investigations and gather information to support case preparation
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings
Requirements
  • Availability to work permanent part-time, 4 days/30 hours per week
  • Prior work experience in fast-paced team environments
  • Genuine interest in exploring and pursuing a career in personal injury law
  • Practical, down-to-earth approach with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability, resilience, and commitment to helping the team achieve its overall goals
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
