Lead Residential Care Team

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our residential care team and provide support to young people in need of guidance.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for someone with leadership skills, experience working in residential care, and a passion for empowering young people. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of residential care workers and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for residents.

You will work closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator to deliver high-quality care and services that promote growth and development. If you have a strong commitment to social work values and a proven ability to relate to and support young people with complex needs, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of residential care workers

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services to young people

• Work collaboratively with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator

• Develop and implement strategies to promote resident engagement and participation

• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture

• Manage crisis situations and respond to emergencies effectively

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a current and valid driver's license

• Hold a current and valid employee working with children check

• Satisfactory criminal history check (paid for by MacKillop)

• Valid and current NDIS workers screening check

• Relevant diploma or qualification with substantial experience in residential care
