Bartender - Brisbane Marriott Hotel

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel, located at 515 Queen Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, preparing and serving drinks, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve drinks according to specified recipes and standards.
- Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles.
- Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
- Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
- Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
- Transport supplies to the bar set-up area.
- Wash soiled glassware.
- Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables and place in designated areas.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and local SOPs (LSOPs) pertaining to cash handling.
- Process all payment methods.
- Count bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
- Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing duties.
- Know and use correct terminology for all service equipment and utensils.
- Obtain requisition items for the storeroom.
- Assist guests with personal belongings if necessary.
- Set tables to the required standard.
- Assist guests with needs at all times.
- Assist in greeting and seating guests.
- Serve all food and beverage to guests according to the standard sequence and hotel service policies and procedures.
- Clear the guest's table to side stations.
- Perform opening and closing duties and preparation for the next operation as directed.
- Collect food orders from the kitchen and deliver to the guest.
- Stock service stations with clean and proper operating equipment, utensils, food, and beverage and clean as per side duty schedule.
- Clear service stations of soiled dishes and dirty equipment and send them to the dishwashing area.
- Collect and polish equipment and utensils.
- Carry out duties in In Room Dining and the Restaurant as and when required.
- Assist with duties in the Executive Lounge where required.
- Assist with duties in Banquets where required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail. You will also need to be able to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in a team environment.
