We are seeking an individual to fill the position of Home Care Support Worker in our organisation. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of elderly clients living in their own homes.

The primary responsibility of this job is to provide care and support to our valued clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Some of the key duties include:

Assisting clients with daily activities such as cleaning, shopping and transportation.

Providing consumer-directed care services to clients as outlined in their individual care plans.

Supporting clients with general domestic duties.

Participating in care plan development to ensure that each client's changing needs are being met.

Recognising and responding to changes in a client's condition, documenting and communicating this information as required.

Encouraging clients to engage in social activities, friendships and hobbies.

Ensuring that all clients are treated with dignity and respect, supported to exercise choice and independence.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

A genuine empathy for elderly clients and a passion for working in community services.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently while functioning within a team environment.

High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) or be willing to complete it. All course expenses will be fully funded.

Other requirements include a current driver's license, First Aid CPR Certificate, Blue Card Working with Children Card QLD and Federal Police Check.
