Recovery-Focused Mental Health Professional

As a Community Mental Health Clinician, you will provide recovery-focused clinical services to individuals with mental illness, distress and/or risk issues. You will be part of a compassionate team committed to promoting recovery and resilience.
Key responsibilities include performing assessments, providing evidence-based interventions, coordinating care across services, liaising with consumers, families and carers, contributing to treatment planning, and engaging with the local community to support mental health recovery.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice.
Additional requirements include strong communication skills, high computer literacy, and a willingness to drive long distances as required.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to inform treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based interventions to support consumer recovery
- Coordinate care across services to ensure seamless transitions
- Engage with consumers, families and carers to build relationships and trust
- Contribute to treatment planning and recovery-focused care
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer)
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High computer literacy and proficiency in software applications
