About The ServiceCommunity Mental Health Clinicians provide recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for people referred to the service with mental illness, distress and/or risk issues. Our team supports mental wellness in the community and works to promote recovery and resilience.
What You'll Be DoingThe Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for people who are referred to the service with a mental illness, distress and/or risk issues.
Selection Criteria- Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist OR tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership for relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice including assessments and evidence-based interventions for people experiencing mental illness.
- Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
- Understanding of mental health rehabilitation and recovery, with collaborative, strengths-based approach to care.
- High level communication skills to engage with consumers, families, carers and stakeholders, and high computer literacy.
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence and ability to travel as required; may involve driving long distances.
