About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counsellor to join our team at South Shore Gymnastics Academy, Inc. as a Muslim Therapist. As a Counsellor, you will work with women who have experienced narcissistic abuse and/or neglect from close family members, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to heal and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using a combination of methodologies such as NLP, Time Line Therapy, and Hypnotherapy, while respecting Islamic faith traditions.
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to help them overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, and develop coping skills and strategies to manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional disturbances.
  • Provide education and support to clients on healthy relationships, boundaries, and communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client sessions and progress.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • License to practice as a Counsellor in Australia and worldwide.
  • Experience working with women who have experienced narcissistic abuse and/or neglect.
  • Strong knowledge of NLP, Time Line Therapy, and Hypnotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
