About the role:

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement RabbitMQ-based messaging systems for high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Analyze existing RabbitMQ implementations and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain high availability solutions, including clustering, mirrored queues, and failover mechanisms.
  • Optimize RabbitMQ performance by adjusting configurations, managing resources, and implementing best practices.
  • Monitor system health and resolve any issues using monitoring tools.
  • Create detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration and operation of RabbitMQ systems.
  • Provide guidance on RabbitMQ best practices and high availability strategies to junior team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on RabbitMQ and high availability systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of RabbitMQ, including clustering, mirrored queues, and quorum queues.
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
  • Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, and security principles.
