About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Taylor Thomson Whitting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding structural engineering solutions to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to complex problems.
  • Produce high-quality designs, documentation, specifications, and reports to meet client requirements for projects of varying complexity.
  • Monitor projects for fee variations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and policies.
  • Liaise with engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Check junior engineers' work and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage design teams, including allocation of resources and checking of work for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contribute to the overall management and profitability of projects.
  • Assume responsibility for the management of small to medium-sized projects, including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling, and meeting deadlines and budgets.

About You

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and are a member of Engineers Australia.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in engineering and a thorough understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize incoming work.
  • You have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as demonstrated time management skills.
  • You are willing and able to advance your career and remain up to date with advancements in discipline-related engineering methodologies.
