Eligibility Officer

About the Role
The Eligibility Officer will be responsible for making informed decisions on claims acceptance or rejection, and transitioning claims to Case Managers for ongoing management. This role will also involve calculating PIAWE, advising Dispute Resolution Managers on decision rationale, and identifying recovery potential of claims. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation and resilience to achieve business and Worksafe objectives through analytical and communication skills.

Required Expertise
- 2 years or more experience in initial claims assessment (Case Manager), or 1 year or more in a paralegal or legal assistant position
- Strong working knowledge of and associated Regulations, and/or a Legal Qualification

- Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ACCtion and Novus, or similar case management system
