Insurance Manager Job Description

Our team is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the delivery of our insurance programme. As Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the extent and value of risk transfer as a solution to key risks.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced leader who can drive the appropriate governance and reporting of our insurance programmes. This includes managing renewal processes, optimising the structure of our insurance programmes to provide best value for money, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure the programmes remain adequate to mitigate exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the delivery of our insurance programme
  • Evaluating the extent and value of risk transfer as a solution to key risks
  • Managing renewal processes
  • Optimising the structure of our insurance programmes
  • Working closely with stakeholders to ensure the programmes remain adequate

Requirements:

Relevant Bachelor's Degree (5-7+ years experience leading an in-house insurance function for large-scale companies). Demonstrable experience in placement and management of sophisticated global insurance programmes across multiple insurance classes. Project management skills, particularly in arranging new/enhanced cover; procurement of services from brokers and direct insurers; and renewal. Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
