Job Opportunity: Business Growth Expert

This role involves a seasoned business leader who will oversee the financial, contractual, and commercial performance across multiple concurrent projects.

The Job:
  • Manage contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and subcontractor terms.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting across project portfolios.
  • Lead variations management, claims resolution, and contract risk mitigation.
  • Provide commercial insight and advice to project leadership and executive teams.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and statutory quality, safety, and financial standards.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants.

Main responsibilities include protecting margins, mitigating risk, and supporting project delivery with commercial clarity and confidence. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of business leadership experience within a commercial construction business.

As a Business Growth Expert at this company, you will be responsible for managing contracts, developing budgets, and leading variations management. You will work closely with project leadership and executive teams to provide commercial insight and advice. The successful candidate will be an analytical thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary-qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of business leadership experience within a commercial construction business.
  • Analytical thinker with proven ability to manage profit and loss, contract negotiation, risk, and commercial strategies.
  • Confident communicator and negotiator across project and client relationships.
  • Highly organised and commercially astute, with a drive for margin protection and delivery excellence.
