Community Development Officer

The Place-making Community Centre Officer plays a pivotal role in implementing day-to-day operations of the Broadford Living and Learning Centre.
This position is responsible for overseeing programs and initiatives that promote accessibility and community participation, addressing the needs of the local community. Key responsibilities include providing high-quality customer service, offering timely support to stakeholders, and establishing administrative tasks and procedures to ensure efficient centre operations.
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting new opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic community development team.
Key tasks for this role include:
- Developing structures and consultative processes to engage staff, volunteers, advisory committees, and the community in planning and program development.
- Identifying vulnerable or at-risk community groups and creating local support networks through programs and partnerships.
- Providing high-quality customer service according to Council's customer service charter and Neighbourhood House sector principles.
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced individual with demonstrated experience in community development frameworks, strong background in customer service and community liaison.
The ideal candidate will possess collaboration skills working with diverse stakeholders, computer proficiency, and effective management skills.
