Operations Manager Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a fast-paced operation, drive real results, and contribute to the company's success.

We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead our site in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of production, dispatch, and inventory management across multiple product lines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a strong health and safety culture and ensure compliance
  • Run daily manufacturing operations across multiple garage door product lines
  • Optimise inventory holdings and warehousing processes
  • Drive DIFOT, labour efficiency, quality standards, and cost control
  • Lead and coach your team for performance and development
  • Build an inclusive and engaged culture
  • Manage continuous improvement projects across the site using LEAN principles
  • Work closely with Sales to deliver on customer expectations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in operations or manufacturing leadership
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results in a KPI-driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS compliance and safety leadership
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems (Sage experience highly regarded)
  • LEAN manufacturing experience and certification (preferred)
  • Commercial acumen
  • Facilities maintenance knowledge and experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field
