
Compassionate Child Mental Health Navigator Wanted

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Child Mental Health Navigator. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality clinical services to children (0-12 years) experiencing mild to moderate mental health and well-being challenges.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, families, and other service providers to ensure continuity of care and increase access to support options for children in our community.
You will take a child-centered approach, using assessment and problem-solving skills to determine needs and shape responses. Your flexible and adaptable nature will enable you to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including allied health, nursing, and medical staff, to provide comprehensive support to children and their families.
This position is part of a temporarily funded project until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for clients and determine needs using assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Engage and support children and families within the service and coordinate with other service providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with a range of internal and external care providers across health, education, social services, Aboriginal health, and disability sectors.
- Work within an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical services.
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health qualifications and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
