About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential care homes in Geraldton. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and culturally appropriate environment for children and young people with complex needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality care and services to residents.
  • Mentor and coach staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in providing therapeutic and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and referrals.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and case notes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in residential care or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage crises and critical incidents, and deal with complex and challenging situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Current Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain if successful).
