As a House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential care homes. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people in our care.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those who have experienced trauma and disadvantage. You will work closely with a team of Residential Support Workers to provide purposeful support to young people and help them develop essential life skills.
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings, and may be called upon to assist with crisis situations. However, you will also have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about making a difference.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar qualification
- Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Ability to manage crises and critical issues and deal with complex and challenging situations
- Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain if successful)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills and use of Microsoft Office packages
- Dedicated After Hours on-call support to assist you after hours and weekends
