About the Role
BDO is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive go-to-market strategy and grow revenue across multiple service lines. This role entails proactive prospecting, end-to-end pursuit of strategic engagements, and relationship management of key clients. You will work closely with specialists in our Clients & Markets team to maximize the efficacy of go-to-market activity and pursue opportunities for growth.
The ideal candidate has experience in business development and client relationship management within professional services. They possess initiative, commercial acumen, and strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs and styles of different stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, marketing, or a related field is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute BD objectives and activity for local growth priority areas.
- Drive growth initiatives across the firm for go-to-market strategy at the local level.
- Develop and maintain strategic client relationships.
- Identify and pursue high-value strategic opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to identify, develop, and convert leads.
- Coaching and mentoring to enhance BD collaboration and culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Approximately 7 years of experience in business development and client relationship management within professional services.
- Initiative, curiosity, commercial acumen, and an interest in regulatory environments, capital markets, and/or public sectors.
- Self-awareness and continuous personal and professional development.
- Strong communication, rapport-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Project management skills with flexibility to accommodate evolving priorities.
- Respect for complementary skillsets and collaborative activity to support revenue growth.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, marketing, or a related field.
