About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team at Thiess. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of our mobile fleet and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment, including servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.
  • Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Ensure high housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Conduct pre-start checks.

About You

  • Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in the mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of CAT and Hitachi mobile equipment.
  • Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable).
  • HR driver's license (desirable).
  • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times.
