About the Role

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic speech therapist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to clients in the Cairns region. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for paediatric speech therapy and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients aged 0-18 years
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve communication skills, including speech, language, and literacy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in paediatric speech therapy through regular professional development activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or ability to obtain this)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • A current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain this)
  • A current Worker Screening Card (or ability to obtain this)
  • A current Police Check (or ability to obtain this)
  • Unrestricted driver's licence and access to a vehicle
