Accreditation Coordinator Role

Job Description

The role of the Accreditation Coordinator is a crucial one in the success of any major event. The coordinator will be responsible for delivering the accreditation and access program on time and to the required standards.

The coordinator will work closely with the Venue Accreditation Manager(s) in managing the accreditation centers, client process and access. They will also be responsible for coordinating and supporting the venue accreditation managers in their daily operations.

The Accreditation Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Managing and operating the accreditation center
  • Coordinating and supporting the venue accreditation managers
  • Delivering the production, distribution and scheduling of accreditation devices
  • Finalizing the requirements for the Access Control Boards and ensuring they are displayed at every Accreditation checkpoint
  • Ensuring all Zoning maps and client flow are finalized
  • Assisting the venue accreditation managers in finalizing accreditation and access documentation
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Accreditation Coordinator must possess a range of skills and qualifications. These include:

  • Background and experience in accreditation and/or working in Venue Management or at Events
  • Understanding of accreditation and access management operations and its integration in accreditation within Venue Operations
  • Knowledge of Venue Operations (Stadium)
  • Ability to manage and operate in a dynamic working environment, handling multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating across a range of operational areas
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
  • Understanding of project management within a venue or major event environment with differing stakeholders
  • Flexibility and openness to shifting demands and priorities
  • IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and familiarity with MS Teams, Smartsheet, SharePoint
