Event Operations Specialist

Deliver exceptional event experiences with a leading global events company.

The Event Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in the success of our events, ensuring seamless execution and unforgettable experiences for clients and attendees alike. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role involves the supervision of Rental Inventory, including efficient inventory management, general administrative duties, and ensuring accurate processing of systems and paperwork related to the department.

This specialist will be the central point of communication between the Sales Department, Hotel Departments, and the Warehouse, facilitating the smooth operation of the Base Operations Team by assisting in all areas. Effective communication flow between venues and base is also essential for operational considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven leadership experience with at least two years of experience in audio-visual equipment operation.
  • Trained and proficient in safe manual handling practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills, planning ability, and time management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Sound decision-making skills, maturity to deal with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Effective negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work after hours when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate level computer skills (Word, Excel, R2, Humanforce/Time Target).
  • Planning ability and time management; able to plan ahead and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Sound decision making skills.
  • Maturity to deal with people at all levels of the organisation, including hotel General Managers.
