We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapy Department Manager to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Occupational Therapy service to ensure efficient and effective service delivery that is evidence-based and patient-centered.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Occupational Therapy team to ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate service performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Masters/Bachelor Degree in Applied Science Occupational Therapy and eligibility for practicing membership to Occupational Therapy Australia.
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 7 years' clinical Occupational Therapy experience in an acute environment.
- Previous leadership and staff supervision experience.
- Experience in leading quality improvement activities.
- Postgraduate qualification in management/leadership or working towards.
- Experience in the private hospital sector.
- Highly developed leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Highly-developed negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, self-awareness, and reflective practice.
- Ability to achieve results through consultation and facilitation.
