Underwriter - Accident & Health Specialist

{"title": "Underwriter - Accident & Health", "description": "We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Workers Compensation and Accident & Health Team in Sydney. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for running a profitable Workers Compensation and Accident & Health portfolio, providing insights and expertise to your customers including underwriting, maintaining a renewal portfolio, new business and responding to quotes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Underwrite risks in accordance with defined limits of authority or class authority, organizational policy and underwriting standards.
* Plan and implement a strategy to attract and retain high value customers and to improve current performing policies to ensure portfolio plans are met.
* Monitor client and market requirements and client feedback by conducting client calls and visits.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with organization guidelines.
* Provide efficient and timely service & problem-solving solutions to brokers and clients.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in Underwriting.
* Broad insurance industry and exposure to Workers Compensation preferred.
* Established customer/broker relationship management and communication skills.
* Understanding of relevant Insurance market conditions.
* Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data and use for decision making.
* Relevant problem solving and negotiation skills.
