Job Overview

The Executive Director will shape the next phase of development, delivering cross-disciplinary research programs aligned with themes: Powering the Future, Next Generation Resources, and Environmental Sustainability & Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic growth to deliver Institute objectives.
  • Develop and oversee cross-disciplinary research programs aligned with NIER themes.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with industry, community, and academic partners.
Qualifications
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications with established excellence in a professional field; or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training and/or experience.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including leading high-performing teams and managing budgets to drive sustainable outcomes.
  • Expertise in strategy development with a strong track record of delivering results aligned with vision and objectives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with industry, community, and academic partners, supported by comprehensive experience working with industry and established networks.
