About Health, Safety and Environment Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our health, safety and environment efforts in a dynamic and complex project environment.

This role involves providing expert guidance on health, safety and environmental matters to project stakeholders and ensuring that risks with HSE impacts are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HSE principles and practices, as well as experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and plans for projects, aligning with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise to project teams on HSE matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate HSE risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance HSE knowledge and skills among project personnel.
  • Analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, informing business decisions and driving continuous improvement.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, science, risk) and significant experience in HSE management.
  • Proven track record of leading HSE initiatives and improving safety performance in a complex project environment.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with HSE data analytics and business intelligence platforms, with the ability to interpret and apply insights to drive business decisions.
  • Knowledge of Western Australian H&S legislation and regulatory frameworks.
