Thriving Support Assistant Wanted

Ablepoint Australia provides exceptional service to NDIS participants and we seek enthusiastic individuals to assist them in achieving their goals.

Daily Tasks:

  • Administer or assist participants with medications according to their medication chart and care plan.
  • Support participants to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, health & hygiene, eating, dressing, toileting, and showering.
  • Develop and implement programs with the participant to grow living skills and abilities so they are more able to make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible, and participate in the community.
  • Support our participants with various household tasks including menu planning, cooking and serving meals, cleaning, shopping, and other activities of daily living.
  • Implement personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviors and/or with high physical support needs.

A few requirements that will assist you in delivering the above tasks:

  • Cert III, IV in Disability qualifications required (Or currently undertaking studies).
  • Experience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviors, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence and vehicle.
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with our clients and support their individual care plans.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English will be highly regarded.

We offer competitive hourly rates: $26.00 - $59.00 per hour.

Schedule:

  • Shift work available.

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Working with Children Check preferred.
  • National Police Certificate preferred.
  • Driver Licence preferred.
