Personal Care Specialist

At Uniting AgeWell, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Personal Care: Provide personal care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management.
- Support Nursing Staff: Assist nursing staff with assessment, care planning, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Monitor Environment: Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and environment of the facility, reporting any issues of concern.
- Collaborate with Team: Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Certificate III in Individual Support: Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Aged Care.
- Experience in Aged Care: Have experience working in residential aged care or home care, with a focus on dementia care and palliative care support.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to BEST Philosophy: Be committed to working in a values-based organization that upholds the BEST philosophy – Believe, Excel, Support, and Trust.
- Working With Children Check: Hold a current Working With Children Check card.
- Flu Vaccination: Have current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
- Australian Working Rights: Possess Australian working rights.
- National Police Clearance: Be able to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance.
