About the Role:

As a Personal Care Worker, you will co-ordinate personal care for residents in accordance with care plans which meet their individual needs and preferences.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing effective clinical and emotional support to residents, recognising changes in residents' conditions and escalating observations and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
  • Provide personal care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
  • Support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
  • Monitor the cleanliness, safety, environment and promptly report issues of concern

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent (Aged Care)
  • Experience in residential aged care/home care (desired)
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
  • Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast-paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions with all levels of care partners
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for Working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
