**Community Support Specialist**

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Community Support Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them achieve their goals and aspirations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with local schools, career advisors and community organisations to support the development of young people.

The role will involve working closely with clients to assess their needs and ambitions, identifying barriers to employment and providing solutions-focused approaches to overcome these challenges.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work independently, while also being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Building great relationships with participants to better support them
  • Building relationships with community organisations to attract new participant referrals
  • Assessing the needs and ambitions of the participants
  • Identifying barriers to employment and providing solutions-focused approaches
  • Providing support to young people to achieve ongoing education and/or employment

**Requirements:**

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Willingsness to complete a Criminal History Check and able to pass a Working with Children Check
  • Ideal qualifications include Cert IV Youth Work, Cert IV Employment Services or Cert IV Community Services or higher (or equivalent)
