Job Description:

  • This is an intensive care unit role providing safe and effective care to critically ill patients.
  • The specialist will gain advanced procedural skills and receive comprehensive training according to CICM standards.
  • Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for this position including a minimum of 6 months experience in Intensive Care Medicine.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for a future career in Intensive Care Medicine or acute care, evidenced by continued professional development and self-education in this area of practice.
  • Able to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment, utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise, and demonstrating independent competence in ICU-related clinical skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
