Job Opportunity:

Seeking a seasoned and accomplished Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the effective management of fleet maintenance operations.

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled professionals in achieving fleet maintenance goals, fostering a culture of efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet maintenance business development, aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive strategies, policies, and systems supporting Service Manager initiatives.
  • Directly supervise a team of mechanics and engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
  • Establish relationships with Operators and site supervisors to coordinate routine and preventative maintenance, as well as respond to breakdowns effectively.
  • Formulate procurement plans to guarantee the ongoing supply of necessary services, parts, and consumables for scheduled maintenance and unplanned repairs.
  • Negotiate and maintain supplier relationships, monitoring contractor performance closely.
  • Verify and authorize commercial invoices, resolve discrepancies, and arrange credits accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on fleet maintenance program progress relative to budgets, delivery timelines, and required services.
  • Submit weekly maintenance/service reports to the Service Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, proposing improvements when necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Desirable high-risk license for forklift operation
  • Significant experience in a comparable role
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Professional attitude and communication skills – written and verbal
  • Able to prioritize tasks and deliver quality data on time
  • Capacity for innovation and idea generation related to logistics challenges

Qualifications:

  • Trade certification relevant to the position
  • High-risk forklift license (desirable)
  • Relevant work experience in a similar capacity
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
