Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our expanding Asset Transformation & Closure team. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and facilitating effective relationships with clients and internal team members.
  • Mine Closure Plans and Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans.
  • Mining Proposals and Environmental Authorities.
  • Providing advice on environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal team members.
  • Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors.
  • Delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports.
  • Occasional travel to undertake field studies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and engaging character with a great sense of humor. You will also have:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 years + experience in Environmental Science, preferably in consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Working knowledge of at least one Australian State's environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines related to mine closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
