Role Overview

  • The role involves leading the protection and safeguarding of information and systems across various areas.
  • This includes overseeing the development of secure platforms and tools that support business objectives, as well as implementing and maintaining robust security controls and technologies.

As a leader in this field, you will provide strategic direction and technical expertise to drive the cyber security agenda. This includes working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures that align with government and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Security: Developing and implementing secure application development practices, including coding standards, security testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Cyber Governance: Establishing and maintaining cyber governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure strong cyber security posture.
  • Cyber Security Operations Centre: Leading a team responsible for monitoring and responding to cyber threats in real-time, ensuring timely incident response, and providing strategic advice on cyber security operations.
  • Identity Management: Designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions to protect digital assets.
  • Penetration Testing: Conducting regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating threat hunting and purple teaming activities to identify and neutralize advanced persistent threats, as well as identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities in systems and applications.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading cyber security teams and developing cyber security strategies.
  • Expertise in cloud security, cybersecurity operations, and threat intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
