Job Opportunity

The Australian Taxation Office is seeking skilled and experienced Cyber Security Directors to lead the protection and safeguarding of information and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical capability to deliver expert, contemporary cyber security services.
  • Establish a strong foundation of trust and confidence in the digital environment.
  • Take on leadership role in one or more areas: cyber security operations, governance, strategy, or program portfolio management.
  • Ensure appropriate security standards and IT security controls are implemented in accordance with ISM and PSPF.
  • Propose and implement new security capabilities to meet organisational requirements and strategic objectives.

Cyber Security Directors will drive change and continuous improvement in cyber resilience capabilities while managing threats and risks to safeguard people, information, assets, and services.

They will engage with internal stakeholders and IT service providers to ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and policy obligations.

Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in cyber security and governance.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
