Reliable Maintenance Technician Wanted for Northern Beaches Location

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our client's team on the Northern Beaches. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable Australian-owned company that prides itself on innovative and world-leading products.
The successful candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment faults, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to lead efforts to upgrade plant and facilities for efficiency, safety, and reliability, while following regulatory, safety, and sanitation requirements.
The role requires the ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, manage repairs, supplies, purchases, and budget, as well as control costs, scheduling, and development of maintenance activities.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Pneumatics and hydraulics expertise
- Knowledge of plastic injection moulding machines and their auxiliaries
- Familiarity with general mobile and fixed plant and equipment used in production
- General welding and soldering skills
- General machining capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach and ability to prioritise
- A high attention to detail and flexible attitude
In addition to the technical requirements, the ideal candidate should hold a Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner) qualification and have a Restricted Electrical Licence, Australian Motor Vehicle licence, and Fork Lift Licence.
