As an Operational Yards Officer with Northern Beaches Council, you'll be part of an organisation committed to promoting sustainable growth, leading the community, protecting our environment and creating a great future for the region.

Northern Beaches Council's Transport & Civil Infrastructure Business Unit provides a range of maintenance and delivery services relating to road assets, traffic management, street lighting and infrastructure. You'll work closely with this team to ensure timely and accurate advice is provided while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting in the management of depots, including safety, security, and storage in line with legislation and council requirements
  • Managing depot upkeep, including cleansing and corrective actions following audits and inspections
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of Council's stores

You'll bring extensive truck/plant operating experience, good organisation and communication skills to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
