Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join our company management team.

This role has direct responsibility for all aspects of Quality at the site, including managing and maintaining quality systems throughout the manufacturing process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, Review and Improve Quality Systems, including FSSC22000 V 5.1 for food-contact and secondary products, ISO9001, HACCP, and ongoing third-party system certification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with US FDA, EU, and customer specific requirements that relate to the site and identified prerequisite programs are managed in line with requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Site Management Team, understand and work towards all customer requirements and quality specifications, ensuring processes and testing protocols are set up, maintained, reviewed, and adhered to with an unrelenting focus on quality output that meets customer expectations and agreed standards and specifications.
  • Be the authority in all quality aspects of the production of printed paper/plastic labels, printed cartons and trays for the site.
  • Identify training needs, and conduct training of staff in conjunction with certification requirements.
  • Investigate and analyze internal and external non-conformances.
  • Undertake root cause analysis, and generate and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar quality assurance role within a food packaging or food manufacturing operation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Science or related field.
