Visual Effects Specialist

The role of Visual Effects Specialist is a key position in the art department, responsible for creating high-quality visual effects that enhance our game's visual appeal.

We are seeking an experienced Visual Effects Specialist with a strong background in visual effects creation. The successful candidate will have experience working in the game or film industry and be proficient in using Maya, Houdini, or other equivalent tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality realistic visual effects to support art direction and gameplay.
  • Translate reference, concept art, storyboards, written game design briefs, and verbal directions into prototype and implement real-time VFX in the game.
  • Create a wide variety of real-time special effects using sprite-based particle systems along with pixel and vertex shaders.
  • Optimize VFX to run within performance limitations.

Qualifications:

  • Professional VFX experience in game or film industry.
  • Proficient in creating high-quality VFX using Maya, Houdini, or other equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of particle systems and dynamic simulations.
  • Ability to balance quality and technical constraints.
