Warehouse Operative Job Description

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of warehouse activities. This is an entry-level position that requires a valid forklift license and at least 12 months of experience.

  • Loading and unloading stock, including receiving and dispatching goods
  • Pre-start checks on equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Placing gluts onto packs to assist in loading
  • Splitting packs according to customer requirements
  • Sorting through damaged stocks to determine their suitability for resale
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the warehouse
  • Ensuring quality standards are met in accordance with product specifications
  • Accurately recording and maintaining data on relevant reports and forms
  • Collecting reject samples from production runs
  • Performing manual handling tasks, up to 20kgs
  • General housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient working environment

The successful candidate will be required to work across a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and rotating shifts.
