This is an opportunity to join a supportive and enriching environment for seniors as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Through your dedication and personalized care, you'll empower residents to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and assist colleagues to conduct resident activities and outings correctly and safely
- Ensure records and statistics are completed as required by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist with mobilising and transferring residents - moving from place to place and position to position
- Meet residents' personal care needs, safety and comfort, whilst driving satisfactory completion of planned programs
- Certificate III or IV in Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principals and practices
- Able to relate to older people with empathy and understanding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
- Valid Police Clearance (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
- Evidence of Flu and COVID vaccinations (including Booster if eligible)
- Availability to attend a paid induction at our training institute
