Payroll Officer Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with payroll stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Manage workflow efficiently to ensure timely processing of all payroll transactions.
  • Reconcile payroll data before transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations.
  • Understand taxation of employer-paid benefits and PAYG.
  • Effectively handle new starters and terminations.
  • Generate fortnightly and monthly financial reports.
  • Process leave, deductions, allowances, bonuses, and superannuation choices.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and ability to interpret EBAs.
  • Proficiency with SAP.
  • Intermediate experience in Excel and ability to generate financial reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to upholding compliance standards.
