Payroll Officer Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Communicate effectively with payroll stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Manage workflow efficiently to ensure timely processing of all payroll transactions.
- Reconcile payroll data before transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations.
- Understand taxation of employer-paid benefits and PAYG.
- Effectively handle new starters and terminations.
- Generate fortnightly and monthly financial reports.
- Process leave, deductions, allowances, bonuses, and superannuation choices.
- Previous experience in payroll processing.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and ability to interpret EBAs.
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Intermediate experience in Excel and ability to generate financial reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to upholding compliance standards.
- Previous experience in payroll processing.
