Job Opportunity: Critical Incident Support Specialist
Role OverviewWe are seeking experienced professionals to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations.
This role involves providing Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma-specific interventions to support individuals and their organisations through one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychosocial interventions, support and counselling, as well as experience in trauma management and consultancy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Critical Incident Response Services, including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support service, disaster response and incident support forums
- Use Psychological First Aid (PFA), stepped care and referral pathways to support clients
- Support organisations during incidents or organisational change, including identifying themes, making recommendations, and supporting internal process improvements
- Deliver Employee Counselling, Training and Consulting Services as required
- Provide one-on-one trauma support and group sessions with clients
- Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling
- Minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy experience
- Ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution-focused advice
- Passion to help people and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, report writing skills, and willingness to travel to client sites for trauma response work
- Experience delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS)
- High level negotiation and facilitation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
- Trained in Psychological First Aid and registered with the appropriate professional body
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
