Developmental Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Developmental Educator to join our team at Everyday Independence. As a Developmental Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
About the RoleThis is an ongoing full-time or part-time position, with a minimum of 4 days per week. You will be working with a diverse range of participants, providing person-centered support and planning to help them overcome barriers and achieve their desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits, and problem-solve challenges that prevent them from living fulfilled lives.
- Champion the role of a social model practitioner, helping people overcome barriers that keep them from engaging with their local community and the wider world.
- Use evidence-based practice and professional reasoning to recommend the most appropriate team of supports, therapy, duration, location, and timing.
- Develop effective and strong working relationships with people and their families, identifying and addressing factors that may affect relationships, and repairing breakdowns in a timely manner.
- A competitive salary range of $83,582 - $100,342, including annual leave loading and superannuation.

- May be required to submit a suitability assessment and be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Evidence of letter required).
- Passionate professionals with a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
- Empathy and understanding, while being open and non-judgmental.
- Driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives.
- Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check.
- Valid drivers license.
