Role Overview

Everyday Independence is seeking a highly skilled Developmental Educator to join our team in Albury. As a Developmental Educator, you will work with individuals with disabilities, their families, and support teams to provide person-centered support and planning. You will build strong relationships to help them envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support and planning for individuals with disabilities and their families
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and support teams
  • Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits
  • Champion the role of a social model practitioner by helping people overcome barriers that keep them from engaging with their local community and the wider world

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement)
  • Be passionate professionals with a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
  • Hold a valid drivers license
