Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team based in Bowen Hills, Queensland. As a Boilermaker, you will work on passenger rolling stock, performing scheduled maintenance, repairs, and fabrication or modification of components.

This role involves both workshop and outdoor environments, requiring physical fitness to handle equipment and varying terrain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform boiler making, welding, and fabrication tasks on railway rolling stock, sub-assemblies, and steel or metal components.
  • Use various welding and fabrication tools and techniques for structural repairs and modifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics to fabricate or repair components and resolve issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Trade-qualified mechanical fitter or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in MIG/ARC welding.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a Zero Harm workplace.
