Job Title: Infrastructure Operations Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Infrastructure Operations Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Roads & Traffic Department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Infrastructure Department, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the Infrastructure team and other departments.
  • Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for the Infrastructure Department.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and government agencies, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate records, including asset management and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance, preferably in a local government context.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Current driver's license.
